5/28/2024 1:35:00 PM

On Monday, May 27th the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) announced their 2024 NFCA NJCAA Division I All-Region teams. The teams are comprised of 77 student-athletes from across the nation separated into three regions. Raider Softball is honored with one of the Midwest region selections with freshman outfielder, Mia Corres.

Corres is one of the six outfielders selected in the Midwest Region. She is honored as a second team selection. Mia comes off a stunning first year at Rose State College, leading the conference in six offense categories, including batting average (.488), stolen bases (43), on base percentage (.569), hits (79), runs (70), and hit by pitch (11). She is top 10 in five other categories for Region 2. Corres was a standout for the Raiders, leading her team in all but one offensive category. On the defensive end, Corres held her own and commanded the outfield. With a .986 fielding percentage, fans could see Corres making catches that were ESPN worthy.

NJCAA Region II placed three student-athletes on the Midwest region teams. Eastern Oklahoma State College was honored with two athletes on the first team. Click here for NFCA press release and full All-Regions lists.
