Doug Weese was born June 9, 1947, to Herman and Lois Weese in Magnum, Oklahoma. He graduated in 1965 from Midwest City High School. Out of high school, Weese enlisted in the United States Marine Core and served until 1973. He also attended Rose State College, and played baseball under Coach Mike Brumley. Doug acted as the owner and CEO of Herman's Plumbing until passing on the 3rd generation family business to his son in 2012. Coach Weese has been married to his wife Lianne for 51 years, and they have two children together, Christy Johnson, owner of DMC School of Dance and Kirk Weese, owner of Herman's Plumbing, both serving the city of Midwest City. Together they have nine grandchildren and two great grandsons. Weese has invested 44 years in Protect Our Nations Youth Baseball League, American Amateur Baseball Congress and American Legion Baseball Association until his retirement in 2014. The Outlaws, under Weese's direction, have won numerous state and regional championships along with a World Series title in 2010. Weese has been involved in scouting for several Major League Baseball teams and is currently an associate scout for the Miami Marlins Major League Baseball Association. Coach Weese has had the privilege of coaching and watching the placement of young men into the Major Leagues. Through his 25 years of involvement with the Oklahoma Outlaws Coach Weese spent his summers on Rose States home field. He and his wife Lianne invested their time, energy, and lives to creating a quality field environment by donating equipment, bathroom upgrades, concession stand, and most importantly, the time they invested in the men that took the field.
