Raider Baseball Sweeps Mountaineers in Conference Series

Raider Baseball sweeps Eastern Oklahoma State College in their three game conference series.

Game one (Saturday); Mountaineers 3, Raiders 11

Jordan Dehoyos drove in four runs on two hits to lead the Raiders past Eastern Oklahoma State College 11-3 in game one of the three. Dehoyos hit a home run to left field in the fourth inning, scoring two runs, and singled in the sixth inning, scoring two.
 
The Mountaineers got on the board in the first inning after a ground out scored one run.
 
Eastern added to their early lead in the top of the third inning after a walk and sacrifice fly, each scoring one run.
 
Raiders then tied the game in the bottom of the fourth thanks to a double by Blake Seefeldt, and a home run to left field by Dehoyos.

Rose State took over the lead in the bottom of the fifth. Glynn Wilson singled, scoring one run, to give the Raiders the leg up, 4-3.
 
The sixth inning is where the Raiders broke the game wide open, scoring seven runs. Gerardo Gonzalez singled, scoring two runs, Wilson singled, scoring three runs, and Dehoyos singled, scoring two runs.
 
Isaac Thornton earned the win, surrendering just two hits and three runs over five innings, striking out five and walking five. Relief pitcher Drew Sheppard collected the save, throwing the remaining two innings.
 
Raiders piled up 10 hits in the game. Silas Voegely, Dehoyos, and Wilson each collected two hits.
 
Game two (Saturday); Mountaineers 2, Raiders 7

Raiders were victorious in game two with the Mountaineers, 7-2.
 
Eastern got on the board in the top of the first inning after a Raider defense error and a single, each scoring one run.
 
Raiders flipped the game in the bottom of the fourth, scoring five runs on five hits to take a 5-2 lead. The biggest blow in the inning was a single by Logan Jeske that drove in two.
 
Nathan Mueller got the start for the Raiders. He surrendered three hits and two runs (zero earned) over four innings, striking out seven and walking six. Jackson Warner pitched five innings in relief, allowing two hits and zero runs while, striking out six and walking none.
 
Raiders accumulated 10 hits in the game. Wyatt Fielding led the team with three hits in five at bats. Jeske and Joseph Heard each drove in two runs. Silas Voegely collected two in four at bats. 
 
Game three (Sunday); Mountaineers 5, Raiders 15

Rose State headed east for the final game of the series. Where Glynn Wilson drove in six runs on three hits to lead the Raiders past Eastern 14-5. Wilson singles in the second scoring two, doubled in the seventh scoring three, and singled in the ninth scoring one.
 
Raiders jumped out to the lead in the top of the second inning after Logan Jeske drew a walk, scoring one run, and Wilson singled, scoring two runs.
 
Tyler Root earned the win. The starter gave up four hits and three runs (one earned) over six innings, striking out one and walking one. Dillon Palmer, Blake Seefeldt, and Aidan Sharp each appeared in relief.
 
Cole Barton collected two hits in four at bats. Raiders had a strong eye at the plate, amassing nine walks for the game. Wyatt Fielding and Gabe Martinez led the team with two walks each. RSC amassed four stolen bases for the game and turned one double play in the game.
