Raider Softball Takes A Split With The Neosho Panthers

Raider Softball splits with the Neosho Panthers at home on Monday, taking game two in a run rule.

Game one; Neosho 3, Raiders 7

Raider Softball lost to the Neosho Panthers 7-3 in game one.
 
RSC got on the board first with a solo home run to left field by Caty Baack in the second inning. 
 
Raiders added to their early lead in the bottom of the third inning after Morgan Thomas grounded out, and Mia Corres stole home, each scoring one run.
 
In the top of the sixth inning, Neosho Panthers went into the lead 7-3 after a couple of base hits and a homerun.
 
Addison Wilson took the loss. The right-handed pitcher went five innings, surrendering two runs (one earned) on six hits, striking out two and walking three. 

Game two; Neosho 0, Raiders 13 (5 innings)

Caty Baack drove in four runs on one "grand" hit to lead RSC past the Panthers 13-0 in game two.
 
Raiders were first on the board with an error allowing one run to cross home plate in the first inning.
 
Five more runs were added to the Raider lead in the bottom of the second inning. Mackinzie DeLong hit into a fielder's choice, but one run scored, Jordan Anthony-Baade singled, scoring one run, Lauren Holmes grounded out, scoring one run, and Mia Corres doubled, scoring two runs.
 
The Raiders went on to score a whooping seven runs in the fourth inning on their way to victory. An error scored one run, Baack hit a grand slam to left field, scoring four more, and Keylee Beckwith homered to center field, scoring two.
 
Beckwith earned the win and complete game, surrendering three hits and zero runs over five innings, striking out eight and walking none.
 
Anthony-Baade, Beckwith, and Kortney Griffith each collected two hits. Raider defense was clean as ever and didn't commit a single error in the field.
