Raider Baseball Adds Another Split

Game one; Redlands 6, Raiders 14
 
Glynn Wilson collected four hits in five at bats, as Raider Baseball defeated Redlands Community College 14-6 on Tuesday at home in Midwest City. Wilson hit a home run to right field in the second inning, singled in the first, second, and sixth inning.
 
The Cougars got on the board in the top of the first inning after a walk and hit by pitch, each scoring one run.
 
RSC flipped the game on its head in the bottom of the second, scoring seven runs on three hits to take a 8-2 lead. The biggest blow in the inning was a home run to right field by Wilson that drove in two.
 
Raiders added to their early lead in the bottom of the third inning after Jordan Dehoyos hit a sacrifice fly, Silas Voegely singled, and Joseph Heard stole home, each scoring one run.
 
Kenny Fabian got the start on the mound. The right-handed pitcher surrendered zero hits and two runs over one inning, striking out one and walking three. Jackson Warner earned the win, only giving up one hit and three runs over two innings, striking out two and walking two. Dilion Palmer, Cole Barton, and Nathan Nunez each came on in relief to aide in the Raider victory.
 
RSC Baseball amassed 12 hits in the game. Voegely seized on his opportunities, leading the team with three runs batted in from the number seven spot in the lineup. The shortstop went 2-for-4 on the day.
 
Wyatt Fielding and Heard each collected multiple hits also. The Raiders had patience at the plate, collecting eight walks for the game. Fielding and Heard led the team with two free passes each.
 
 
Game two; Redlands 14, Raiders 5
 
RSC Baseball had trouble keeping up with Redlands in game two with a 14-5 loss.
 
Redlands got on the board in the first inning after a single scored one run.
 
Joseph Heard hit into a fielder's choice, tying the game at one in the bottom of the first.
 
Redlands took the lead in the top of the second. A single scoring two runs gave Redlands the leg up, 3-1. The Cougars went on to score seven runs on six hits in the top of the third inning.
 
Corbin Lewellen took the loss for RSC Baseball. The starting pitcher went two innings, allowing four runs (one earned) on five hits, striking out two and walking one.
 
Brodie Hinson, Raider Baseball's number seven hitter, led the team with two hits in four at-bats. Cole Barton led the team with two runs batted in. Barton went 1-for-3 on the day. 
 
Raider Baseball will be back on the field Friday at home. They will take on Barton Community College in a 3 game series on Friday and Saturday. Click here for the full schedule.
