Raider Baseball's Midweek Match Up With The Mavs

Raider Baseball headed out to Tonkawa for a midweek match up with the Mavericks.

NOC-Tonkawa 12, Raiders 2 (7 innings)

NOC-Tonkawa scored big in the third inning, aiding them in their victory on Tuesday at Tonkawa.

Raider Baseball was the first to get on the board in the second. Silas Voegely starts off the inning getting struck by a pitch, then gets to third after a stolen base and sacrifice bunt by Jordan Dehoyos. Voegely scores off a wild pitch from the Mavericks pitcher.

Tonkawa didn't waste any time jumping back into the lead in the bottom of the second inning after a couple base hits, and a sacrifice fly, each scoring one run, 1-3.

The Mavericks scored seven runs on five hits in the bottom of the third inning, leaving the Raiders trailing by nine.

RSC Baseball was able to scrape one more run across in the top of the fifth. Leadoff hitter Glynn Wilson doubled to start the inning, followed by a single off the bat of Wyatt Fielding scoring Wilson.

Nathan Mueller took the loss, going two and one-third innings, giving up seven runs (six earned) on five hits, striking out two and walking one.

Fielding lead the team in hits, going 2-3 at the plate.

Raider Baseball will be back in action next Thursday for a single nine with Seminole State College to start conference play. First pitch at 2pm. Click here for full schedule.
