Nickie Madden started at Rose State College in August 2011 and has since coached 51 NJCAA Division I All-Region athletes; 3-NJCAA All-Americans (Katie Ventress, Mikayla Oaks, Emma Green), 1-NFCA All-American (Mikayla Oaks), 1-Region 2 Player of the Year (Mikayla Oaks), 1-Region 2 Pitcher of the Year (Keylee Beckwith) and 65 NJCAA Division I All- Academic athletes. Under her guidance, 55 student-athletes have gone on to play softball at 4-year Institutions including the 2014 Sooner Athletic Conference Player of the Year, Randi Yousey. 

Nickie, a native of South Africa, has represented South Africa in several international competitions including tours to Europe and Japan.  She played collegiate softball at Texas Woman’s University; and during her time there she was a two-time NFCA Division II All-American and a two-time Division II All-Academic Scholar Athlete. She graduated with a Bachelors in Kinesiology with a minor in Business Administration.  In April 2008, Nickie was inducted into the Texas Woman’s University Hall of Fame.

Before coming to Rose State College; Nickie was the first Director of Softball Operations at the University of Oklahoma; which included 3 trips to the Women’s College World Series and was on staff as the OU Regional Coaching Staff of the year for 2002, 2003 and 2004. While at OU, she completed her Master’s degree in Human Relations.

Nickie lives in Yukon with her husband Brian Madden, Head Softball Coach at Southern Nazarene University along with her 16-year old son, Aiden and 8-year old daughter, Mackenzie.
